Operating behind an 1849 neo-Classical facade, this French Quarter hotel sports "lovely" common areas, a courtyard and a prime location right near Bourbon and Dauphine streets; even if the "rooms vary in size" and "loud" acoustics are an issue (depending on which area of the hotel you're staying in), most agree it's a "wonderful" choice.

The location.
The price of parking $27 a day.
The hotel is beautiful, The rooms were nice, only little problem I had were the showers. The pressure was non existent and our tub was dirty (stained not unclean).

I liked the location and the artwork in the lobby was very nice.
It needed updating.
The rooms were small and needed updating. The bathroom could have been cleaner. The lobby area was very nice and the staff was very friendly. The location was great for partying, but it was very loud as it was right off Bourbon Street and would not suggest it for families or business travelers who need to get to sleep early. ...read more

We loved the outdoor courtyard and having access from our room.
The hotel was very noisy. We could hear the other guests in rooms around us through the walls.

Noise from Bourbon St., staff courteous but not particularly friendly: did not go out of way to be helpful (valets, concierge).
